I've always wondered this about men.
Do they grow up thinking "some day, I want to get married, I want the big wedding with the bride in white, yada yada yada." or do they think "yeah, I want to be married, but I'd rather fly to vegas and get it done there."

Are men as psyched about weddings as women?

I think guys just want to survive the wedding ceremony (many a Catholic guy has dreaded marrying a devoted Catholic woman and having to make it thru the 60-90 minute ceremony). I think men have fantasies of what the bachelor party will be like and what we will do for the honeymoon. Otherwise, we just don't want to suffer thru a cheesy, painful ceremony followed up by a boring/horrifying reception.

So to answer your final question: Are men as psyched about weddings as women?
