Further Proof of the Level of Stupidity in America

I watched some Family Feud as I was getting ready to leave Shortlegs' apartment on Wednesday. No, I'm not going to bitch about the banal contestants. It's those 100 people that they poll for the fuckin list.

Question: Which state would you not want to live in because of the severe natural disasters?

There were four items up on the board. California and Florida were easily picked out as numbers 1 and 2. Contestants offered: Missouri, Kansas, South Carolina, and Texas. Nope. After one of the families won, the final two were displayed. Eight of the hundred said New York and two said Alaska.

NEW YORK?!? WTF! I know WTC, but the question was "natural disasters" dumbasses!

Maybe I wouldn't have been so disturbed by it if I hadn't already seen the moronic "What do gorillas do all day?" which elicited such answers as: "scratch themselves" and "jump around"...that were more popular than the slightly more intelligent answers of "grooming" and "beating their chests."

Ugh...I should just let it go.

Something I frequently tell people - "Think about how stupid the 'average' person is. Now realize that half of the population is dumber than that."

OK, put down the coffee and back away slowly. Put on ELO's "Mr. Blue Sky" and repeat useage until things start to look a bit sunnier.

Not that it will protect you from the horrible truth, but it might make you feel a little better.

What do gorillas do all day???? Oh for heaven's sake! How could they not know that they train, clean their weapons, plan ambushes, and do hit and run attacks. Sheesh!
