I'm becoming a lounge chair jock!!!
The following is cut from emails back and forth between the wife and I today:
Me - ... Don't worry, football season is almost over. After this weekend, there will be conference championships next Sunday the 23rd and the Super Bowl is Feb 6th.
JD - ... And don't give me bs about football season being almost over when Nascar starts a week later, buddy. ;-)
Me - Okay, so the Super Bowl is 2/6, then the Bud Shootout (quick exhibition race in Daytona) is that Saturday 2/12, then the qualifying races are the following Thursday 2/17, BUT the Daytona 500 isn't actually until 2/20! That's two weeks after the Super Bowl! :b
JD - so what r u saying, you're NOT goimg to watch anything until daytona??? I rest my case.
Cory - Well, NASCAR's points season doesn't really start until the 500, though I will concede that the qualifying races on Thursday are necessary for entry into the 500. So, a week and a half between football and the NASCAR season.
