"The Cat's Meow" and theater review

Saw "The Cat's Meow" yesterday at the local "art house" theater...very nice and new w/ the assorted indie and foreign film releases. Loved the movie. Kirsten Dunst is soooo hot!!! Eddie Izzard did an admirable job as Charlie Chaplin. Cary Elwes is nice eye-candy, as always. Jennifer Tilly seemed to actually act in a couple of scenes. Joanna Lumley's part was quite sharp (she's Patsy in Ab Fab if you don't recognize the name). We've been meaning to go to this theater for a while...it's only about a mile from the house...but just hadn't. Since they have first shows starting at 11am-ish, I think we're going to try to go by every week or so. "My Big Fat Greek Wedding," "Kissing Jessica Stein," and "The Salton Sea" are currently showing are seem worth seeing (we just can't do the midnight showings of "Rocky Horror" anymore). Another great thing they do is that they have "Cry Baby Matinee" twice a week at 11:45am. They keep the lights on dim and lower the volume a bit, so you can catch up on your movies while caring for the little ones. Changing tables are provided and kids under 5 years old get in free. JD and I are eager to give that a shot later this year.

Definately slip by the Angelika Film Center at Mockingbird Station to see it. It's nice to have a theater w/ stadium seating actually in town...at least for my urbanite wife and I in Lower Greenville.
