Saturday: Knowing that rain was on the way...I looked at the mountain of mulch in my driveway and whimpered. We were able to get about a fifth of it moved before the downpour began. After an hour it was determined that further yardwork was a moot point, the to-do list was changed.

JD and I were able to get a lot of indoor stuff accomplished. The biggest thing was just being able to get the kitchen, living room, and computer room COMPLETELY clean. As Saturday went along, more people contacted us about them coming to visit on Sunday. We were now preparing to be hosts for a get-together at our house.

Sunday: First, the in-laws came over. We (I'm still shocked) were able to finish moving the 10 cubic yard mound of mulch moved and spread. I was able to dig a trench/French drain system around our patio and running thru the play area to the grass portion of the yard. JD also put the green metal border around the patio.

All of that before noon...

We were able to get cleaned up and welcomed my cousin and his wife. Later my parents arrived. There was a lot of baby talk (cousin's wife is preggers and due a few days after JD with Froggie). Thankfully, my dad and I were able to do male bonding w/ my cousin while watching NASCAR's race in Michigan (Woo-hoo! Mark finished 2nd!).

Calvin was very well behaved and nice to everyone. One of the worst things about being a parent are those days where your child is channeling Satan. It was all Calvin and no Lord of Darkness for the whole visit.
