It's Official

I am now a home owner. It took many years, but I've finally ditched the apartment/duplex lifestyle.

The wife and I are very happy with the house we've ended up with. This one has more pros and fewer cons than any of the homes we saw (including the two we submitted offers).

Great! You'll get a tax break by being able to use the interest you pay as a deduction, and you'll build up equity. Congratulations on the house!

Tax Breaks!

The home is givin' me a tax break, the baby due in December will give me another break...

I'll be rolling in the dough next spring!!! Only to put that toward the mosquito magnet and yard shed I dearly want.

CONGRATULATIONS! Now go mow the lawn, and wash the windows, and fix that leaky faucet in the second bathroom. And it's a bit drafty in here - can you do something about that? :)

It has been raining like crazy the past couple of weeks, so the lawn is in DESPERATE need of some mowing. I figured that since my wife has never mowed a lawn, I have a couple of more months before she's too pregnant to mow (she can mow until the third trimester, right?).

Today, I'm leaving the office around 2pm to vacuum and do some cleaning as well as adding better lightbulbs about the house. The steps for the attic will likely wait until tomorrow to get installed. I'm really hoping to get the house prepared for moving nearly everything in this weekend.
