Jeremiah: Quick Summary
Jun. 27th, 2011 04:34 pmThank goodness I took my Bible with me to the DMV this morning! I had fallen a couple of days behind on my Bible in 90 Days challenge. While I disliked the long wait, I was able to get through half of the book while I was there and had a chunk of office work that allowed me to listen attentively to the other half of the book this afternoon. Phew! Now I'm caught up with the schedule.
Jeremiah was a lot easier for me because of the decrease of symbolism used. Jeremiah's visions and prophesies were much more straight forward compared to Isaiah. While the wonky chronology of the book sidetracked me a few times, the clarity of his message to Judah before the exile in Babylon and his messages to those in exile didn't require that I decipher the message from the imagery.
