Goodness knows it is impossible to listen to a classic rock station in Alabama without hearing "Sweet Home Alabama" daily. However, there is a song that has greater station penetration thanks to special 80's lunches or weekend dance mixes. While I've always liked the original of Soft Cell's "Tainted Love", it seems that I always hear the version (or very similar version) with "Where Did Our Love Go" added at the end instead.

I never heard the short version with Where Did Our Love Go at the end until early in the 2000s decade. The 12 inch version with that at the end was from the 80s and was over 8 minutes long.

ugh, this is the second rate version of this song. I also like the original version of "Tainted Love" better.

Ugh, I got SO burned out on this song in 1981-82! It was the audio equivalent of Marc Singer's "Beastmaster" on HBO: it was every bloody day's business to play it. Several times. You couldn't escape it. The passage of almost 30 years has not dulled the disgust at all for either the song or the movie. The ferrets, the ferrets, the $*#@#*%@!#$! ferrets!
