Writer's Block: Neat, sweet, groovy songs

[Error: unknown template qotd]

When I wasn't listening to Top 40 radio, I spent much of my elementary years listening to my dad's Beach Boys collection (60's releases only). For whatever reason, he didn't have a copy of Pet Sounds. Now, that is my favorite album of theirs.

Favorite Bands (rcc) . . .

Well, if you're talking about actual childhood, before age 13, my favorite artist was, believe it or not, Tom Jones. I always thought his songs were so much fun, and he was so hilarious to watch on TV. I must admit, though, the women-throwing-panties-at-him thing I didn't get until I was a bit older.

After age 13, however, it would have to be Donna Summer. Oh, disco, disco, disco, and I mean the real stuff, not the future-techno-electronica-disco-lite that's played these days. Although I'm a bit partial to some of that as well, especially when Junior Vasquez spins it.
