Wrong Way Day

I work in the Times Building in downtown Huntsville. It sits at the corner of two one-way streets. At least once a week, I'll hear horn honking out my window and look to see that there is a car going the wrong way. This has happened twice today. What kills me about the second time is that this driver was so stunned or ignorant as to turn from going the wrong way on Holmes to going the wrong way on Green. *headdesk*

I drove in Boston for a week in late September and early October 1993 and remembered it being very hectic and difficult. At least then, very few intersections had left turn arrows and streets were rather unpredictable at times. We had a AAA map that had one-way streets marked with little red arrows which made it the best downtown map to have at the time.
