Intersecting Fandoms: Jellyfish + Mario

Since there is someone on my flist that has a tendency to post anything she finds Mario related, I was wondering this morning if I had passed along the following. Jellyfish did a song re: Mario, et al and then someone else made a snazzy video to go along with it...

YES! i have a copy of this song on one the many New Mistake singles that i own. i was stoked when i found this on youtube. i guess the original was from some cassette tape that Nintendo Power released in the early 90s.

kind of like how XTC did "Cherry in Your Tree" on the Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego compact disc that was released a few years later

i love when my favorite pop bands do something totally commercial like this!
