While there are certainly plenty of albums that have 1-3 good songs and the rest is crap, does anyone else have an artist/band that you think consistently has albums of great singles and mundane filler?

Somewhere in 5th or 6th grade (I THINK) I was discussing Billy Joel with a classmate or peer. During the discussion she said something along the lines of, "With the exception of An Innocent Man, all of Billy Joel's albums suck. Well, the singles are all fantastic, but the rest of the album is crap." At the time, I had only really listened to An Innocent Man and his greatest hits collection. Maybe I was tainted by the comment, but when I did start listening to other Billy Joel albums, I came to the same conclusion as my cohort.

With the exception of An Innocent Man Glass Houses...

FTFY.

Consistently? Lady Gaga's album has become that for me, but I have a hard time defending that. Aside from the singles, there's a couple of other good songs, and the rest of it is pretty wank. I dunno. Can we count David Bowie after Scary Monsters because I can't think of much album wise I've like by him since that album, but he's put out plenty of good songs since then?
