No, it's not the worst job on the planet, but one job I've always been grateful that I've avoided is something in the food services. Waiting tables would be absolute hell for me.

I think everyone should have a job in food service just once in their lives, for at least a year, so you learn what goes on - both the good and the bad. It will make you a better customer to restaurants, but a more exacting one. I spent about three years in food service ops, and eight years in support. When I did my mandatory week of service in a restaurant while working at Fazoli's, I enjoyed it. The kids on night shift hated my ass, though. I held them to the stated service times.
