Mafia Wars Addiction

I would spend about a quarter of the time I do on FB if I wasn't into playing Mafia Wars. I have such lovely fun as having $16.4 billion but I'm at the mercy of finding "untraceable cell phones" which I might find randomly during a fight or is one of the possible loot items I get when I do the "Rob an Electronics Store" job. But I love the game so much, that when the MW:Cuba beta opened up, I jumped right in.

In time, this addiction will pass. It's gotta!

Tell me about it. I've gone insane, friending people I've never met to get them to join my mafia... and the other Zynga games I play: Pirates! and Space and Vampire Wars. I even created a special group - NotFriends - for these people, so they have access to no information whatosever.

I need to start rationing. These games are cutting into my productivity time at work... and they're ALWAYS trying to suck you back in. My new plan: I'm allowed to touch them three times a day if I'm at work: when I first arrive, lunch, and just before I leave.

Incidentally, Cuba is flawed, but I see what they were trying to do: counteract the essential meaninglessness of money past a certain point in standard Mafia Wars.
