Update on Calvin's Mouth

Calvin was the bestest, well-behaved patient on Wednesday morning. The boy had two baby molars pulled (same position on each side of the bottom) and spacers placed. He didn't go batty sitting around the waiting room for the sedation meds and then for them to kick in - about an hour. The only problem we've had is that his finger kept sneaking in his mouth to poke around. We kept warning him about it and how he would stop that if he knew how it felt without being on the pain meds. I'm very proud of how he handled this every step of the way.

*sigh*

This upcoming Wednesday, I get to take Nigel in for 1 or 2 fillings. Since he FREAKED OUT when he had his check-up, they are going to do the same sedation routine with him. Nigel really likes the twirling baton Calvin received for taking the meds at the dentist, so I'm hoping we'll get him to that point well and the drugs will do the rest.
