May. 20th, 2008 09:56 amI hesitate to say I feel "better" today. One of my biggest aggravation with this funk has been how my symptoms fluctuate and rotate. Saturday was all about fever and chills. Sunday my throat started to be a problem and the fever/chills were lowering. Monday during the day, my thoat was KILLING me and I would still go from slight chills to mild sweats. Last night the headache that's been a low-level, omnipresent pain usually only making itself known when I cough or hear loud noises came to the forefront. It hurt to hear anything, see anything, and merely think about anything. My memories of last night are of my brain being flooded with confusing thoughts and the more I tried to make sense of what I was thinking or trying to stop thinking, the more my head hurt. Somehow, I fell asleep between these periods of confusion and pain.

We were both in jetlag hell the first day. Honestly, we saw a couple of sites in Amsterdam, got to our hotel in The Hague, were lucky the room was already free, and slept until 10pm. We ordered shorma pizza from the Domino's Pizza in the phone book when we awoke. Get ginseng or whatever you need to knock your ass out or reset your body cycle to avoid that same fate.
