My throat hurts. I noticed a twinge of sensitivity on the left side last night when I would swallow. This morning the left side of my throat is sensitive to the touch and especially when I swallow.

JD has peeked and verified I don't have any white spots (the ah'ing really triggered my gag reflex, though) and my neck seems only slightly swollen.

When's the last time you had your thyroid checked, dear? Sore throat can sometimes come from thyroid issues.

Last year when I had a physical was the last time it was checked. I have been meaning to schedule another physical and think I got the nudge I needed today to do that on Monday.

Just keep in mind that not all the labs have caught up to current endocrinal standards. If your TSH is over 3.00 or under .50, get a referral to an endo.

After the horrible night I had last night, I think I'm going to have to postpone the lunch. Last evening was just a moment of peace followed by many more hours of hell.

Let's go ahead and pencil in lunch on Wednesday, though.
