It happened again

I ran out to Bandito Burrito this evening to pick up some dinner. I'm not three steps in the door when I hear a high-pitched "CORY!" Then there's a blur of long hair, a bear hug, and only after that do I actually see who attacked me.

This time it was a high school friend, Liz (used to be)Butler. We got to chat while I waited for my order. I think my heart started to beat normally again halfway home.

I love how you described that! It made me smile really big.

By the way, I'm not going to be able to lunch tomorrow. I forgot early this week that tomorrow is my father's 80th birthday and I'm going out to their house for lunch.

I'd like for us to do lunch soon, though.
