Not So Fast

Yesterday afternoon, I noticed it starting to get warm in the house. I check the thermostat and noticed it had switched to the default programing which moved the temp to 78 (I had it at either 74 or 75 at the time). I bump the temp down and walk away. After a bit, I notice the vent hadn't been blowing any air.

I verify the outside unit is working. I head up to the attic and am greeted by cool air. I open the unit and everything is iced inside. I turn off the A/C system for a while, check to see that it has thawed out, and turn the system back on. Same as before. Now, I've got to call the A/C folks again and hopefully they can come out here soon.

Today's weather? "Sunny. Warm. High of 83" Joy!

uh-oh! i hope it all gets resolved before it hits 100 here.

this will be our first summer living downstairs in our house. all we have is a window unit, but the way the house sits, i'm hoping we'll be ok. i can already tell that with the insulation it's helped tremendously. it's actually COLD in our house unless i open the window and let in warm air. upstairs is an entirely different (and hot) story...but luckily, we're just using it as storage for the moment.

anyway, i hope your a/c stuff gets worked out!!
