Date: 2008-03-20 01:46 pm (UTC)There is a happy balance between profit and customer satisfaction. Many people seem to think the scale has pegged all the way to the evil profit side, while I think this is a minor tip to profit. I certainly can't blame their desire to cut the free sans ad accounts. It is the PR aspect of the secrecy and their creation and then snubbing of the LJ Advisory folks that concerns me as a fellow "businessman" and as a customer.

Date: 2008-03-21 11:21 pm (UTC)i dont even really care in this wanna be fight. i just got tired of people acting like taking 24 hours away from a site on the internet was some strong stand against LJ tyranny. If they really wanted to make a statement they would just leave.
until it costs LJ more to change than stay the same, no whiner 24 hour boycott is going to do anything more than generate a few discussions about the boycott.
being able to shoot oneself in the foot is a danger, but a right, in capitalism.
