Steak N Shake

csberryHad a great breakfast in the COMPLETELY EMPTY new Steak N Shake in Huntsville. I'm really surprised that the place isn't busy. Every time a new one opened in towns I lived in, they did great business. The one in Decatur does good business. But I've got to believe the suck-ass shopping rate at Madison Square and lack of a large sign announcing their presence down in that dip on the mall's perimeter are probably the biggest obstacles. For my H'ville LJ folks, please go by Steak N Shake if you haven't been lately or never tried it. Their b'fasts are good. The steakburgers are yummy, but aren't jumbo, artery-cloggers that are the size of choice of most of the other restaurants in town. My favorite order is the Chili 5-way (chili, spaghetti, cheese, onions, and "sauce").
OH AND THE SHAKES!!! Bliss. Pure, thick, chilled joy in a glass.
