Because we never really know each other as well as we think...
In response to this post, I'd like you to ask as many questions as you want...it can be 1 or 100. Anything about which you are curious, anything you feel you ought to know about me. Silly, serious, personal ,anything. Ask away. Trust me, you're more likely to be scared by my reply than I will be of your questions. Go ahead and try!!!
Then copy this to your own journal and see what people don't know about you.

3. Oh, boy.
In November of 1989 I was finishing up a defensive driving class at the police academy located in the old airport terminal. We were gathered in the building around 4pm. A group of folks were looking out the large windows that faced SW and announced that the sky was getting really dark and menacing. I looked for a little while but the darkness made it difficult to see much. It wasn't until we saw police cadets running toward the terminal that I really started paying attention.
They had heard a report of a possible tornado. Some people claim they saw the tornado, a call came in from the K-9 kennel on the far south end of the runway that a tornado was approaching it, and the cadets sprung into action. The civilians were herded to the middle of the ground floor and away from all windows. Cadets pulled out numerous exercise floor mats and pads. People crawled under tables and those not under tables got under the mats. I was under a mat with a high school acquaintance and a 20-30 something woman crying about us about to die.
I heard the stereotypical rumbling sound like a train and the ground was vibrating. It seemed to last for forever; the crying, the screaming, the rumbling, and an occasional sound of glass breaking.
I was told later that the tornado was headed toward the terminal building but suddenly turned east about 200 yards from us. After getting the all-clear, I went into the parking lot to assess the damage to my car. None. I immediately went south on the Parkway - past overturned cars, downed trees, and debris that filled the road.
4. I am currently without nonhuman pets. My cat, Ernie, died a few days after I moved back to Huntsville. Apparently he had an enlarged heart (3 times the normal size) and it was always just a matter of time for him to die.
I was planning on finally getting Calvin and Nigel a pair of kittens last year...and then we found out JD was pregnant w/ Harper. Now I'm uncertain if our house can fit five humans and a pair of cats.

my mom was actually on airport road (pretty much where that cvs or whatever is) waiting for her nail appointment. she was reading a magazine in the car when it came out of nowhere. her van was picked up and thrown around and she hid under the steering wheel. when she climbed out, the van was a ball and someone from one of the churches across the street helped her out and took her to safety. she eventually wound up at the hospital. but my dad and i searched for her for about 3 hours around airport road before he took me home to my grandmother so he could search more. haha my dad told me later (when i was 16 or so) that i peed in my pants...hey, i was 4 and it was terrifying!
