Tentpole or Pillars in your music collection?

I know my CD collection alone is a bit out of the ordinary size (just over 600 from a peak near 700) but if all my XTC CDs disappeared (let alone the vinyl, bootlegs on tape and DAT, and mp3s OR The Dukes and Andy's "solo" work)...that would result in over 5% of my music gone. Combining the next two artists with the most CDs (Tori Amos and Henry Rollins), I would remove less than 5%.

What artist, if removed from your music collection, would leave the largest void?

Gee... I wonder? :P

R.E.M. would probably be second runner up, though.

Yeah, I nearly put an exception in that post for you.

What era dominates or are your CD's all along the discography?

the entire damn catalogue. i have a bowie problem, with cure a close second.

Removing The Cure would probably leave the biggest gap in mine.

ditto, though "probably" is more "certainly."

I'm glad the music post and your visit so happily collided.

the line in your bio that made me lol the most...

*blush* Most? You laughed more than once? Cool.

I've friended you in kind - especially after the nice "discussion" on [livejournal.com profile] chris21718's journal today.
