First Lost Tooth
Oct. 10th, 2007 12:54 pmCalvin has been bending one of his lower front teeth for the past few days. We were nearly certain it would fall out before he went to sleep.
Nope. Instead, he woke up at 12:30am last night to announce that it came out. I'm just grateful the lil fella didn't swallow it or otherwise lose it while he slept. We've got a container for it (one of those cheesy child "firsts" collectible things we got at his baby shower). JD and I decided to skip the whole Tooth Fairy thing. He was given an opportunity to get a "first lost tooth" present today when JD took the boys to Target this morning. So, Calvin now has one less tooth but his first bona fide Transformer that takes more than 2 moves to transform.
I think my parents are probably going to slip him some coinage for his piggy bank for this and future lost teeth, but JD and I just don't see the point in that sort of thing. Part of that definitely has to do with the fact that JD secretly busted her mom trying to be the Tooth Fairy as a kid and then heard her parents talking about fooling her in the hallway afterward.
