In Reversal, Student Is Given Extra Exam Time to Pump Breast Milk
I was mostly on this woman's side until I got to the last paragraph in this article from the NYT.
Ms. Currier has already received some accommodation from the board for dyslexia and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. She can take the test over two days instead of one, for example.
Now I'm upset with the woman, upset with the board, and horribly confused on what the backstory is to the article. Did she piecemeal her requests for exemptions and the third one (pumping) broke the camel's back? Did she go in with the three requests and the board was willing to make changes due to dyslexia and ADHD, but not pumping?
I'm mad and I want the answers so I can focus that anger at someone with which I feel justified in doing so! ;) Alas, I actually have a meeting in less than an hour and any further news search will have to wait until this afternoon.
