I should have posted about this earlier today to give folks a heads-up, but...well...sorry. Anyways, the best horror story I've seen on TV EVAR is airing tonight on Sci-Fi. It's Doctor Who - "Blink." Here's a snippet. Before you press play, turn off all the lights! I dare you!

Damn, I just wet my desk chair.

Watched it in the dark! And I'm still in the dark, and I'm not still scared. It was only mildly scary. Kind of silly to have angel statues going after someone.

*whimper*

Daniel and Sean both told me how good the episode was. . . after the fact! For some reason I always, always manage to miss it. And I'm too old to stay up late enough for the second run!

I still have it on the DVR. I really need to hook it up to the DVD-R and see if I can dub that ep onto disc for you.

Here's a general question for you: how'd you get turned onto Dr. Who? I'm always curious.

I saw the occasional episode on PBS growing up. But unlike Are You Being Served?, Monty Python, and others, I never got into Classic Who. The guy always seemed to be different and I never was certain what was going on (especially since I never consistently would tune into the show).

When I saw that there was a new Who coming to Sci-Fi, I decided to give it a try since I've developed a tolerance/appreciation to low-budget sci-fi thanks to my watching MST3K. I set the Tivo to record the first couple and really liked the show. The second season when David Tennant took over sealed the deal for me.

Now I'm downloading Classic Who. It started with the Doctor Who Movie (w/ Paul McGann as the Eighth), watched a couple of the First Doctor, "The Hand of Fate" w/ Tom Baker, and "The Five Doctors" during the Fifth's tenure. I'm currently downloading and watching the complete Fifth and Seventh Doctors' episodes (seen the first few stories of the Seventh, but only "Castrovalva" with the Fifth, so far). The Seventh Doctor's shows seem more "children's TV" than any of the other episodes I've seen.

I love Doctor Who. I haven't watched any of the new ones but this one looks really good. We don't have cable right now but I may go out and rent the current ones out. Much loves
