I spent the summer of '84 breakin' and poppin' to tracks off of Midnight Star's No Parking On the Dance Floor.

The song and my memories of summer day-camp that year in Tuscaloosa are completely intertwined.

Oh, man. There's a station here in Dallas that plays "classic" R&B from the late '70s-early '80s. I heard "Let It Whip" the other day, and today, "Let's Groove Tonight."

I'm waiting for "Thighs High."

I think I heard that station before I left in 2003. My addiction while there was the Mesquite city radio station. While much of what they played was 70's pop, the occasional soul and R&B song would come along.
