csberryJD and I are watching the new Good Eats (corned beef) when someone said New York City and a group of guys yell a surprised "New York City!?"
If you don't automatically know the reference, it's based on a Pace picante sauce commercial from the early 90's.
Some cowboys are out on the range and the cook gives them Old El Paso sauce. The cook mentions that the hot sauce is made in NYC...prompting the cowboys to reply in astonishment, "New York City!?"
It is nearly impossible for me to hear someone say "New York City" without me mimicking those cowboys from the Pace commercial. JD has told me several times that it annoys her that I have this compulsion. :b
