I can keep it a secret no longer. I purchased Justin Timberlake's Futuresex/Lovesounds a couple of weeks ago and I really like the album. Granted, there are some tracks that give me N*Sync Heebeejeebees, but most of the songs have the kind of blue-eyed soul that attracted me to George Michael (and keeps me listening to most cuts from Faith and everything on Listen Without Prejudice Vol. 1).

I'd give a detailed critique but, honestly, JD kidnapped Justin so I've only listened to the album 2 or 3 times all the way through. But today, I sent in Special Forces to extract Justin from her clutches. He's sitting here on my desk awaiting return to his jewel case.

Please, I beg you...am I not allowed an occasional vice? I did write that there are some cheesy pop tracks on there. Trust me, Al Green's I'm Still In Love With You it is not, but it's worth the money spent. :D

Oh, so does this mean you aren't free Saturday morning?

Ah, just accept the heat and embrase the JT. I've taken a ton of flack from it, but most of my friends also try to accept that I love Jim Steinman. I think it's the most brilliant, pretentious, cleverly arranged 'pop' albums in forever. The terrible songs are terrible (i.e., 3 6 Mafia), but the songs that are great are truly great. I hope him and Timbaland wins the Grammy's.

I was trying to figure out which producer had more grammy nominations this year-- Timbaland or Rick Rubin. I think Rick, simply due to Red Hot Chilli Peppers, the Dixie Chicks, and the one track he produced on the JT album. I think it's rather ironic that the guy got his start producing hip-hop and Slayer albums.

I like the album. I get tickled when I hear the "My Love" song because it has this goofy sounding "Hee-Hee Hee Hee Hee" sound in the background -- not sure if it's a voice or an instrument of some sort. When I hear "my love (hee-hee hee hee hee) my love (hee-hee hee hee)" it makes me giggle. Sort of like the strange "ga ga ga ga" stuff at the end of the album version of "Cry Me A River".
