282 - Muddy Waters - Folk Singer

An acoustic collection of blues that frequently reminded me of a very cleaned up version of the scratchy Robert Johnson songs I've heard. But the songs that really grabbed me were the mid- and up-tempo ones. There is also a cluster of songs at the end of the album (which seem to be from a later session than the rest of the tracks) that particularly appealed to me.
Songs I knew I liked: None, although "You Can't Lose What You Never Had" sounded very familiar.
Songs I didn't know but now like: "Good Morning School Girl," "You Can't Lose What You Never Had," "My John the Conqueror Root," "Short Dress Woman," and "Put Me In Your Lay Away"
Songs I can go the rest of my life without hearing again: I don't yearn to hear the slow-tempo songs again...except for maybe "My Home Is In the Delta."
