One of the best bits of advice I can give anyone is "Pick your battles." This is a HUGE key to my survival through relationships. Why get in a huff about things that mean little/nothing to me? If this one habit/trait is really annoying, would it be better for me to get over it/ignore it or confront the person about it? It is very easy to gripe to your SO about chores, money, stinky food, or what shows you watch. Fight that temptation and think about what is really worth the trouble of complaining. Just as you have to move past her inability to clean up after cooking or her love for American Idol, she has to get over your horrible attitude in the morning and tendency to ambush tickle. Of course, fill in your own quirks in that last sentence. :)
