Shortly after I wrote the previous post, I headed to the kitchen and did the morning routine stuff with the boys. After getting them set with food, emptying the dishwasher, and other tasks, I felt really dizzy and weak. I headed back to the bedroom and collapsed on the bed. Soon I was getting chills and moved out of my clothes and back into some pj's.
I spent the next few hours napping while I developed a 101+ degree fever. I woke up overheated, gagging on phlegm, and thought I was about to die. I was really damn miserable until around 4pm when the fever started dropping. I just spent a good while lying on the floor of the tub while the shower sprayed down on me. That shower has been the highlight of my day.
I'm trying to get up the courage to eat more food. My gag reflex has been very active, so I haven't been able to get much solid food in me yet today. My throat is feeling much better, but it is a bit sensitive when I touch my neck.
Other than nearly dying, the big letdown for today is that JD and I were set to see Iron Man today since her parents have the boys and my parents were going to babysit Harper. Hopefully, we'll get an opportunity next weekend.
