w00t! Snow!
Feb. 13th, 2008 09:36 amGranted, it is tiny little specks, but it's coming down enough to decorate rooftops, cars, and pretty much everything in my backyard minus the grass/weeds.
When I was surfing upon waking, it was 23 degrees (15 wind chill) with a high of 35. That's cold enough for me to decide to start a fire and spend the day at home keeping the blaze burning. Hell, I've got a HUGE mountain of new firewood in my backyard that I will gladly use to feed the warmth.
I nearly panicked about my decision, though, after dropping the boys off at school. About a minute after I got home (and the snow started coming down in thicker blows), the phone rang. Both JD and I were convinced it was the preschool calling to let us know that HSV schools were closing for the day and we would need to fetch the boys. Thankfully it was just the fil wanting to know if we were getting snow on this side of the mountain too.
