Jul. 6th, 2007 01:22 pmYes, our office is safe. Despite Old Towne Brewery going up in flames yesterday morning, the Times Bldg doesn't seem to have much more damage than the broken glass door that was next to their building and the smell of smoke. Yesterday it was like I was a few minutes late to a bar-b-que, today the office odor is closer to what you smell when cleaning the grill days after using it. More of a stale smell...less mesquite. ;)
I've had the windows to our office open yesterday and today. The clouds and breeze seemed to have helped to improve the situation here.

The 4th of July went great. After spending the day at my parents' house, we put Nigel down in his bed and shot fireworks in front of my house. It was Calvin's first time to see fireworks and he was THRILLED! It took him a good 90 minutes afterward to calm down enough to go to sleep.

I'm a bit discombobulated today after spending the night overheated and unable to relax. I slept on every flat surface last night trying to find a comfy place to pass out for good. I have a few more items I feel a need to finish today at work and I'm headed out to do some errands on the way home.
