Oh, God, It's So Good!
Dec. 30th, 2005 08:52 pmJD and I went by the recently opened European Market off of South Parkway today (Mason Center strip mall by Ethan Allen - go to far end toward L&N). They have a great selection of imported foods - especially Britain, Germany, and Russia. I believe my mom told me that it's owned by a Russian woman. What I was hoping for - AND FOUND - are Curly Wurly bars.
Some of you might remember the Marathon bars from the 70's. Curly Wurly bars are the same thing and are sold via Cadbury in the UK. I stumbled upon them at the British import store a couple of blocks from my first place in Dallas. The thin nature of the "bar" is what makes this candy quite delightful to me.

I can't convey how extremely happy I am right now. I have two acknowledged regional prejudices - Florida and New England. To see any team from Florida get slaughtered by someone in the SEC makes me especially giddy. Miami is the most evil team in college football. They are arrogant pricks that kick ass when ahead but quickly implodes when strongly challenged. Tonight's game adds to my ability to justify my sports prejudices.
