Rehnquist Dead
Sep. 3rd, 2005 11:01 pmAlright, who will Bush nominate to replace Rehnquist for Chief Justice? He has professed his love for Scalia on numerous occasions. Would he try to make a mark on history by nominating Clarence Thomas?
Liberals do need to take a moment to be thankful that it was Rehnquist who died and not Souter, Breyer, Ginsburg, or Stevens. This way it is merely the moderate, O'Connor, that Bush gets to replace with a conservative. Roberts doesn't seem as conservative as Rehnquist, will Bush's second nominee be more to the liking of the Right?
