I really should only write one line about the movie because anything I write after it is merely going to detract from my primary observation of Clerks II...

I don't think I've ever laughed as hard, so often during a movie as when JD and I went to see Clerks II last night.

While those not familiar with the Kevin Smith on-screen family may not laugh as hard, it's impossible not to pee yourself from the conversations and gags in this movie. I may never get the image of a (nearly) full frontal shot of "Jay" (Jason Mewes) in the Silence of the Lambs/Buffalo Bill pose out of my brain!

Oh...I MUST see this movie. I so want it to be good. I love Kevin Smith, but haven't really loved one of his films since "Chasing Amy".

There was one scene that had some "J&SB Strike Back"-level goofiness. Otherwise, I would definitely say this is as conversational as the original, as funny as "Mallrats," and has the emotional/relationship aspect of "Chasing Amy."

This is excellent timing for you, too, given your recent habit of watching DVDs that mess with your head. How many of those had discussions of ass to mouth, inter-species erotica, vagina trolls, and a debate on whether or not "porch monkey" is a racial slur?
