Alabama Survivors

I have to say that it worries me that despite there being 3 guys from Alabama on this season's Survivor, James (the one that is easily imagined with a white hood) is the only one viewers will remember is from the state. The packed beefcake of Ibrehem and the cute-in-a-dumb-way Bobby Jon will not be able to outshine the stereotypical Southerner that James embodies.

Ugh...

I just saw the past two weeks' worth of episodes... largely via fast forward. I don't think I'll be paying close attention to this series. This week's boot also seriously diminished my desire to watch, since it was beefcake, even if he WAS a bit too "Falcon Exclusive" for my taste.

I'm really getting into this season of Survivor (despite my original expectation of the blahs after an All Star series).

There are some interesting "characters" and dynamics that I really expect to flare up after the young/cute team wins immunity and a possible momentum change. She has no chance of winning, but I love watching Angie try to fit in with the young/cute group.

Survivor may be the granddaddy of the reality contests, but I honestly don't think they've jumped the shark yet. Then again, I'm also psyched up about L&O: Trial By Jury (got it on Tivo and need to watch it).
