As a libertarian, I feel that the govt should leave individuals alone unless they are disturbing society (let the druggies overdose if they wanna; unplug me from life support if I wanna; allow me, my two male friends, and our 5 female friends to be in a polyamorous marriage). So, generally I would either say that govt shouldn't fund the medical care (since you did it to yourself) or the program that would keep me from getting these conditions. As that I consider myself a pragmatic libertarian, I feel that we need to spend the money on one end or the other. I'm a prevention kind of guy. But what can the govt spend it's money on to lower this burden?
*In addition to food stamps, would there be "fat stamps" that you
could take to Gold's Gym for a 1 hr workout? Obese citizens would get 2-5 "fat stamps" a week depending on their need.
*Every time we talked about taxing tobacco or banning tobacco on talk radio, we always got the call that the same should be done w/ fatty foods. Atkins debate aside, are we headed in that direction?
*Ration all food! Everyone goes on the Weight Watchers diet. We would all have Diet Cards that would be swiped on machines in our home which we would enter the amount of food on our plates (sensors in the fridge and pantry would verify that only the proper amount of food is withdrawn) or would be swiped at restaurants. It would be illegal to falsify the amounts or for a business to supply individuals with food that would exceed their daily ration. ...Okay, not even going to comment on this one.

I hereby open my LJ for business in sperm production. Right now I'm in a position where I'm capable of "extracting and retaining" a large
amount of product. I wear my boxer briefs only a couple of days a week now and can easily go to all boxers to help in this offer.
Why I'm a Good Candidate as a Sperm Donor:
1. I'm tall
2. DIMPLES!!!
3. Was a tow-head and have already produced another tow-head
4. Big hands and feet ;)
5. Laid back personality, but has initiative
6. Both my brother and I are creative people who work in creative fields
(radio/PR and architecture)
7. My only hereditary health baggage is prostate cancer (but docs say that all men get that if they live long enough) and restless leg syndrome (which has proven valuable when rocking/bouncing/soothing Calvin).
