Bought back a piece of my youth today

Harper and I went out to Lowe Mill and I bought a copy of Songs From the Big Chair on vinyl. I had previously bought it on vinyl when the album originally came out. This was a consistent album for me to play, although it may not have always been the most frequently played album. When I started to buy more of my music on cassette, Songs...Chair was one of the few albums I had on vinyl that I HAD to have available on cassette. Somewhere along the line, I decided I didn't need the vinyl version any more since I had it on cassette (and maybe CD by this point - I dunno). Since getting the turntable earlier this year, when I sit and think, "Hmmm, what album should I put on?"...Songs...Chair invariably comes to mind. Now, I can fulfill that desire!!!

The album itself is rich and full. The production feels grand and it is one of those records that you can play from start to end and feel like you just had some experience. Sometimes an album is a journey to the point that after hearing it you feel like you have gone somewhere, so much I call them 'vacations'. For me, this is one of those albums.
The 80's were a unique time, this is one of the gems of that time.
(can you tell I love this record?)
