I will take all of them if you don't mind unless someone else wants them. Just let me know and maybe we can meet for lunch.

A radio friend of mine requested Rollins Band, Morphine, and Teenage Fanclub earlier on FB. I'll gladly give you the rest at lunch as soon as you would like to get together. Thursday and Friday are possible for me.

I'm not picky. I will say that it has been around a decade or more since I've had lunch at a meat-and-three. I've decided it's time for me to have it again and either eat that type of food more or reassure myself that it does nothing for me. :)

Uh, that anonymous comment is me. :)

Only half of this is about music . . .

It was 15 years ago on 7/31/94 when three intrepid queens set off from Tuscaloosa, AL to Boston, MA in search of fame, fortune and an MFA in playwrighting at Brandeis. Who knew it would take two days with an overnight stopover in Roanoke, VA, then arriving at 300 Summer Street in Somerville at 11:00 p.m. on 8/1/94? My, my, my how things can change in 15 years.

However, about music . . . I watched Purple Rain for the zillionth time yesterday (8/2). Another anniversary . . . it was 25 years ago (what!) on July 24 (7/24/84) when PR was released! Saw it opening night at Oxford Cinema 10 in Oxford, AL. Sold out the entire weekend and packed, packed, packed. Unfortunately, his follow-up movie two years later, Under the Cherry Moon, was ungodly terrible and, to add insult to injury, I had to drive to Gadsden to see it. Fast forward 25 years and Prince is still touring, but has had hip replacement surgery. God, we're getting old.

To have survived the trip w/o killing Martin was the impressive part to me.
