Of course I never find things when I'm actually looking for them

I spent the day doing Spring Cleaning in the garage/attic/yard. When the in-law's brought the boys home, I saw Andy and Calvin looking at a patch of clover. Andy has a 3-leaf clover and is discussing 4-leaf clover to him. After I inquire about what they're doing, I start to walk away, but stop. I look down...just for the hell of it...and...what's up with that bunch of clover there? I found a 4-leaf clover as quick as that. My very first one. I remember many afternoons and evenings killed while I patrolled the townhouse village grounds looking for 4-leaf clover, preying mantis, and other natural wonders of the suburban habitat.

I gave it to Calvin. JD helped him place it in some thick books to press it. Papa recommended that Calvin find a safe spot for it. I recommended that he put it in the sleeve for The Breakfast Club soundtrack. Andy should have caught that one but didn't.

yay for your first!

haha i've found over 300 this far in my life. most of them are in books back at my parents' house.

since moving into our house we're in now, i've found 15 right in the front yard :)

i don't know why or how, but i'm a pro at finding 4 leaf clovers :)

I think I'm clover-handicapped or something. Others have found 4-leaf while the group of us were hunting but I'm getting to experience the discovery later in life than I would have hoped. :)

ya 4-leaf clover hunting is actually a huge part of my childhood. i remember being so content spending hours searching for them. hahah apparently i was a cinch to raise because i was always 'easily entertained'...
