Had a good day in Nashville (aka - the big city) yesterday. I really missed the food at La Hacienda. I hope the Mexican place here in town that I want to try is close to as good as La H in Nashville. Bought a couple of CDs at Phonoluxe - Donald Fagan interview disc (about 45 minutes) and a Japanese version of the digital remastered "Mummer" by XTC. Saved $16 by not going into the Country Music HofF and Museum, but spent most of the afternoon walking up and down the hill in downtown Nashville. I have the sore legs and two minor blisters on the balls of my feet to prove it.

OH! I also went by the studios for Lightning 100 and asked the receptionist for free stuff since I'm such a big fan of the station. :) I left with some bumper stickers, static stickers, and a couple of plastic cups. Now I've got to kill the RIAA so I can listen to the station on the 'net again. I'm grateful that they post their playlist. Here's a nice paradox about music and the internet. A couple of years ago, I would listen to Lightning 100 online and would buy CDs for artists that I couldn't hear on St. Louis stations. But after the streaming was taken down, I now download more songs because I wanna hear what they sound like. If I like the song, I've already got it downloaded so why would I put buying the CD the song(s) is on? That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it.
