Not that I'm into baseball (like playing, can't stand watching), but either the record books will require asterisks by Bonds (McGuire, et al) or someone's going to have to devise a way of separating the juiced from the non-juiced records.

I find baseball quite dull to watch because even if the batter manages to hit the ball, most of the time it's an out. The only good thing about baseball when I played were the baseball pants. I still wear them although I don't care for the game. :-)

I agree that standards change over the years and things can become easier or harder to achieve. I'm sure today's bats and baseballs allow home runs to be a little easier to hit, and I'm sure the training nowadays is more sophisticated that it was decades ago.
