It's dying, it's dying!!!

One of the most evil things in my house is the Little Tykes "Buzz Mailbox." There is a bee that is attached to the pole under the mailbox. When it is moved, it has a buzzing noise that it makes for 3 seconds. Those 3 seconds seem to last for minutes. Calvin loves pulling the mailbox onto it's side (much easier to open if you can do it while sitting down rather than having to stand up!). When that thing is on its side, any movement that is made causes that damned bee to buzz!

But today, the Lord shone his face upon us. I moved the "Buzz Mailbox" out of my way and heard a faint whimpering buzz and sizzle. The battery is nearly DEAD!!! If it wasn't so hard to try to get to the battery, I would have removed it long ago. Thankfully, Calvin has never seemed interested in the noise the mailbox makes, so I don't anticipate any complaints from him now that it has ceased buzzing.
