I hadn't heard anything from the local Red Cross about my retest. Today I talk to someone and they passed me up the chain of command to the regional office. I end up talking to a woman in Atlanta. She tells me that I'm on the donor list and eligible to donate. However, she only has one donation on record for me (in the region). I tell her about my donating in Nashville and she puts me on hold for a couple of minutes. When she returns, she tells me she couldn't find any reason for me not to donate. No need for a retest or anything. It seems as if I could have been donating in Alabama (and maybe in St. Louis and Dallas) this whole time.

I told her of my trepidation of donating when I have in my possession a letter from the Nashville chapter saying all my future donations would be rejected. I believe it says nationally. She reassured me and gave me her name and title. If anything happens, she's getting all the blame.

The car is at the shop getting two new tires, so I plan on going by the Red Cross tomorrow morning to make my first donation in over seven years. Look out 10 gallon mark, I'm on my way!!!

The local Red Cross takes donations between noon and 7pm on Monday and Tuesday and 7:30am-3:30pm during the rest of the week. I knew the schedule was goofy but couldn't remember which days were noon and which had morning opportunities. I plan on going today after I eat an early lunch.
