Ahhhh...I was reminded of one of the things I hate about my job. Getting guest can be such a bitch. This is especially so when you are using a group/organization to supply you with one. At one time today, I had 3 colleges and 2 organizations working on guests for Monday. It's not like they only had today, I contacted both Vandy and St. John's yesterday about this. The worst part is that 3 of the above never called me back to let me know that they couldn't find someone. It was when I checked at 4:30pm their time that I got the lovely after hours voicemail that I get to find these things out...a far more common occurrence than anyone should bear. So, at 4pm Central, I've got myself in a fury trying to find two guests for Monday morning before it got to late to get anyone.

I'm about 2 hours away from eating at a complete stranger's house. D went on the air the other morning asking if there were listeners that would be willing to show him around town or cook a meal for him. Tonight we are going to Kelly's house. She called the other morning and after talking to D on the air, said that she enjoyed the conversation and would like to talk to him more...would he and the staff of the show like to come to her house for some spaghetti. :)
