Change in Night Shift
Mar. 20th, 2009 06:56 amIt is that time again...
JD and I have a deal w/ dealing w/ Harper overnight. I get the girl from once she's asleep to midnight. JD then takes over until I'm up in the morning.
But we've reached the point where JD's been cutting down the amount of breastfeeding Harper does overnight. Tonight begins the transition to no bf'ing overnight. To properly enforce this, JD and I will be swapping shifts. As of tonight, I get midnight to waking.
This process was hellish for both boys, so the g'parents have agreed to take the boys for a night each this weekend. Even with the boys out of the house from this evening to Sunday afternoon, the thought of how much Harper will be awake and hollering tonight when I'm in bed w/ her and not JD still looms large. Hopefully we'll only have 2-4 bad nights and things will run more smoothly after that adjustment period.
