Jamiroquai

I am absolutely addicted to the three Jamiroquai CDs I received from my parents for Christmas. I fell in love with the band from their debut. I was either Assist MD or music director of the student station at Bama when Emergency on Planet Earth arrived at the station. I gladly begged the Columbia rep for some extra copies. After Traveling Without Moving broke big with "Virtual Insanity," I snatched up that album and the 2nd one which I had missed,Return of the Space Cowboy.

Although I was aware of the release of Synkronized, I never heard a single and just never bought a copy. I've been an on-again, off-again addict of the first 3 CDs and never really felt strongly about accumulating new albums. I think I convinced myself that the music was downhill from the first CDs and that buying the new ones would diminish my love for Jamiroquai.

Boy, was I wrong.

My first taste of the more recent music was when I started catching episodes of Later...with Jools Holland on Fuse and Ovation channels. Jamiroquai has made several appearances on the show and their live performance and my newly found love for these unheard songs prompted me to get serious about acquiring the rest of their CDs.

Synkornized, A Funk Odyssey, and Dynamite were promptly ripped onto my laptop after Christmas and I am listening to the tracks shuffled in with all my other new music. Although I'm skipping the occasional Cure (got remastered Kiss Me x3 with a bonus CD) and the Prince Hits tracks, I don't think I've skipped any of the Jamiroquai...except when JD's around since she can only take disco in small bursts.

From Dynamite, here's one of the new songs that keeps getting stuck in my head - "Feels Just Like It Should."
