While this is inspired by Doctor Who's new episode, it applies to numerous people. I've been yelling this at various screens (computer, tv, movie) for decades now.
If you come upon something peculiar when isolated, wait for backup and don't investigate further. I don't care how curious you are. Box with smoking coming out of it? Don't open. Strange vehicle, possibly looking as if it crashed? Leave it the fuck alone, alright? For those of you from Torchwood, UNIT, etc, surely there was a moment in your training where they told you this. Oh! If you're wearing a red uniform, you need to heed this well!
